Fees

The fees for the course are normally £4,995, including VAT, but this autumn* we are running a special promotion on both our Newcastle and London courses.

We are offering a special discount of £1,000 on all course fees for payments made in full two weeks before the start of the course. That will take the price you pay down to £3,995 including VAT.

This includes all NCTJ examination fees for papers sat during the course.

We do allow delegates to pay by installments throughout the course if they prefer. There is an initial deposit of £2,195 which must be paid two weeks before the course begins. Three payments of £1,000 each can then be made at monthly intervals with the final payment being due four weeks before the course ends. For our autumn* courses we will waive our normal administration charge of £200 to pay by installments.

If you need help with fees, you may be eligible for an award from the Journalism Diversity Fund.

The fund has been set up by those in the industry who want to join together to support the training of journalists from ethnically and socially diverse backgrounds.

Editors recognise it is vital that journalists reporting the news reflect the communities they serve.

It is aimed at people without the financial means to attend NCTJ training courses. Courses are run at universities, colleges and private training providers across the UK. Applicants will need to demonstrate a genuine commitment to journalism and the potential to be successful.

The fund is managed and administered on behalf of the industry by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).

With its help you could have the costs of our course and examination fees paid for;
