We have been named top performing course by the NCTJ for two consecutive years.

Our Newcastle training centre was established in 1969 and since then, we have been the starting point for the careers of many of the UK’s leading journalists.

Our London course follows an almost identical programme to its Newcastle partner and is embedded within the offices of the national news agency of the UK and Ireland.

We pack a huge amount into the 17-week course and it is not for the faint-hearted. We cover all the areas of knowledge required by a multi-media reporter today, including:

In Newcastle, all the training takes place in our fantastic, fully-equipped training centre in the offices of Trinity Mirror, publisher of the titles at NCJ Media and our trainers are among the best in the business at developing talented, new reporters.

Our London headquarters is two minutes from Victoria Station and ideally placed in the very centre of London. Our main newsroom there is staffed 24 hours a day,and from there we provide news, pictures and video coverage of the biggest stories in the UK, 365 days a year.
